Tuesday, 10th April, we went to the Poliorama Theater to watch Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde play. We were in the theater with more schools like us. The theatre was very big and we were a lot of people.
This play was about a man, Dr. Jekyll, who works in a lab with her assistant Jessica Jensen. Dr. Jekyll invents a formula that makes the people change their character. When he decided to drink that, he became Mr. Hyde. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are two different people but in the same body. When Dr. Jekyll takes the potion, Mr. Hyde appears. One night, when Dr. Jekyll drinks that, Mr. Hyde went to a jazz bar, Pink Flamingo. When he arrived he saw Anita Goodman, one woman that was singing in the bar. He was drunk and he finally killed her. The next day Dr. Jekyll wents to the lab and Jessica was there. After a lot of experiments with rats and hamsters, the formula worked. Then the inspector appeared. He was looking for some clues. He took some evidence and Dr. Jekyll had to clean all the clues. Then he goes to the Pink Flamingo bar and he cleaned all the clues. He found Jessica, her assistant singing in that bar like Anita Goodman. Then, the doctor went to the bathroom and he drank the formula. Now he was Mr. Hyde. Jessica and Mr. Hyde fall in love. When the formula ended, he returned to be Dr. Jekyll. The detective appeared again and they cleared all the story. The detective shoots with his gun and, unfortunately, Dr. Jekyll died.
I liked this play but at the beginning, I thought that that play was for little children. While the play was going on, I liked more. I laughed at a lot of parts and I liked the paper of Jessica Jensen. She was intelligent, kind and a very good person. This was my favorite character. Besides, I also liked the waitress of the bar. He made all the theatre laugh. He was Italian and it was very funny to hear that accent. Forgetting that, the vocabulary was very correct, I understand it all. Sometimes the characters talk very fast, but it was fun and I think that all the people in there understand it all.
