We make a ghost story in this situation. Our story, technically, it was to seem like a ghost story. However, our story does not seem like that. Well, I hope you likeit;
WHERE IS THE PRIVACY?
Four years ago I started the High School in Viladomat. At first, I liked the school, the people was kind and the teachers were helping us in every moment. We had not books, and our system to learn was with technology. Instead of books, we had tablets. These tablets were controlled by our teachers. They do not have any control of them, but if they saw you playing or making a bad use of it, they took the tablet. It was great but then the tablets started to fail and the borders, were changing colours. They started to not work, to be crazy. I was in one class and we have a lot of suggestions to change the tablets. It was in the 2n grade when the teachers tell us to change the tablets to chromebooks. We were a little bit disappointed to change them, but it was the right way. But then, we do not know about what was going to happen. The chromebooks were a type of computer that goes with chrome. Now, the teachers and the caretaker were taken the control of all of our movements. We were not conscient about that, but at the moment that we introduce our mail, they knew all about us. A lot of people had the mail in their phones, so the teachers had the access to all of our things.
One day, at the middle of 3rd grade, all the students started to suspect about the teachers and our privacy. We thought that the teachers were using and publishing our secrets in a website platform called “The other point of view”. They take the information using Instagram, Snapchat and Whatsapp. They create fake accounts to talk with us, being another person. When the TAC community told us about these, we thought that all this was a joke. The TAC community was the responsible to take cure of the students and the internet. Then, all of us started to thought that probably was true. Paula was the first girl to receive messages that were a menace. This girl was the most popular and the girl with the better reputation. One of these menaces was that she has to be like a fool in front of her friends. She started to had fear and she do not told anyone. Then, Paula receive messages daily and the risk of her life was bigger. She decided to told that to her parents and her parents started to take care of this. They said to Paula that she will be out of that high school immediately. She said: – No, I do not want to get out. I have to resolve this. I am the first of a lot and I want to solve it and stop it.
One week later…. Paula was not in that school. Finally, her parents change her mind and convince her to go to another high school. Now Paula was in Ernest Lluch. However the messages do not stop and the problem was not resolved. In the old school, the students stopped to receive menace messages so they were safe but now we knew that Paula was the only one. She was alone with these problem and we had to help herself. All this happened at the middle, but the grade was in progress. The last weeks were very intense. We wanted the holidays. In the old high school, the things had changed, nobody thought about Paula and the problem with privacy. She was afraid and she has a lot of problems in the new school. They bullied her, she had no friends, and she has that messages. The messages and the hounding that she had on her was very big. She had nothing to do and she come into a depression. She had to take the pills, but she do not want to do it. The only thing that she thought was that she had to finish that. She thought that she had to suicide. In this moment, she told her parents about this. She can not do nothing more.
When Paula’s parents knew it they started to be depressed too. They thought that was their fault. Paula was at home alone, crying in her bed. She had not nothing to do. She thought one and another time if the best solution was to suicide and finally she decided. She wanted and she did it. She went to the park and then she cut her veins with a knife. When her parents saw that Paula was not at her bedroom, they started to cry a lot and immediately they started to ran into the streets and they hope that she was not dead. Finally her parents saw it at the park stretched in the floor, with blood everywhere. Her mom called the police and the ambulance but they do not arrive at the time. Paula died in the ambulance going to the hospital. The parents denounced the school and they made an organization to stop the internet in the schools. Also they founded an organization to the families that their sons are bullied, for help at the other people because they do not suffer the same thing.
