Pandora was a woman that Zeus send to Epimetheus with a beautiful box that contains the punishment of the men. Epimetheus falls in love with Pandora and he trusts her. When Prometeo finds out, he doesn’t trust Pandora.
Zeus send Pandora with the box because it was a trap. The box contained all the evils of humanity.
Zeus want that Prometheus fall in love with Pandora.
In the movie, Pandora is the name of the world where the story takes place.
They do not have many things in common, but I found:
What humans want are the minerals of the planet (the wood), this is avarice, avarice is why Pandora opened the box that Zeus sent to Epimetheus with him.
Another is, Pandora is a beautiful planet and the women Pandora is beautiful.
To the humans is like the box, because they have a lot of bad things.
