For starting our activities week we went on an English theater, they played it on the Poliorama where other schools where waiting for the play to start. There were just two actors, an actress and a pianist. The story was about a scientist, his name was Dr .Jeckyll, who was working on a formula to avoid fear. He drank once the formula and when he did his nasty, evil and cruel part liberated and he became into Mr. Hyde. Mr. Hyde needed formula to stay alive and not turn back to Dr. Jeckyll so it was always a fight for him to drink the formula. Mr. Hyde kills a lady and he left the formula in the crime scene. The detective that was trying to solve the murder followed the clues to Dr. Jeckyll and Jessica Jenson, Dr. Jeckyll’s lab assistant who was deeply in love with the Doctor. The policeman accused Jessica from the murder but Dr. Jeckyll confessed the truth about Mr. Hide because he was in love with Jessica. The policeman accidentally fired Dr. Jeckyll and he died.
Dr. Jeckyll is a kind, messy and fear full man, he wears a lab coat and glasses, he is very intelligent and correct.
Mr. Hyde is nasty, violent, crazy and dirty person, he wears a red suit and a black hat, he is always getting in trouble because he doesn’t have limits.
Jessica Jenson is a shy, kind and organitzated lady, she have short brown hair and wears a lab coat and glasses as Dr. Jeckyll does, she is really in love with Dr. Jeckyll and she is as him very clever.
Anita Guttmann is a brave, bold and elegant lady, she wears a gren skinny dress and blond long hair with hight weels, she loves to sing at the Jazz club.
The policeman is little bit silly, courage full and very engrossed with his job. He wears a black hat and a black coat as a detective.
The play was very interactive and funny but it was too much easy, for saying it in some way it was a play for childs. I had understood every single word in the play and everything that happened so the vocabulary was very easy and comprenssible. I think I have a great vocabulary level so I can guess some people that saw didn’t understand some parts or words but in fact it was quite easy even for people without an elevated level.
The think that I like the most is the story of love between Dr. Jeckyll and Jessica Jenson, I didn’t really liked the end because I don’t think Dr. Jeckyll should dead, he wasn’t conscient of the crimes and Mr. Hide was dead but it was an accident. Maybe I would change that final and I would let Dr. Jeckyll and Jessica have a romantic ending.
I considerate the play a little bit borring but it was help full as an English activity for our vocabulary to be grown.
