We had to read a book and make a book task describing diferents things about it. I have done the work about the book “Officially dead”, a crime book.
The book starts introducing Collie, a man who has his own company with his wife, that creates and sells software. This company is not producing as much money as it wastes, so if he doesn’t do anything, they will have to close it. During one of the journeys that Colin does to sell that software he comes inside a pub and he sees a man that looks exactly like him, so they start to talk with him and the wife of the man, Linda, and they have a good time.
A few days after he receives a cart from Linda, were she says if he could come again to met another time, and he accepts. When he arrives at her home his husband, John, wasn’t at home. They spend that evening together and Linda proposes him to participate in a robbery that John will do, staying far from there booking some hotel with the name of “John Bentley”, providing him and alibi, all of that for 10 thousand pounds. When he is driving home he crashes and dies, but he was wearing John Bentley documents, So officially he is not dead but John it is. This provides them a perfect alibi.
After the robbery Bentley’s sell everything and when they are going to leave the country and go to Spain, Collin’s wife follows them with Mark, the man who saw the accident that when she asked for her husband Collin, explained to her everything. When Bentley’s discover what is going on they shoot Julie, heat Mark and escape from there.
After 7 years Julie and Mark are married and Bentleys are discovered by the international police.
I liked the book but sincerelly I would not read it for myself.
