Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde is a famous book written by Robert Louis Stevenson. This story is known around the world and it has become in a reference for the fiction novels. For that reason, some film directors or theatre companies have made so many versions from that marvellous book. In this case, we have gone to watch a theatre play obviously called Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde from a company named Face2Face.

For those who do not know, this story is about a prestigious scientist called Dr Jekyll who is working hardly with a strange formula that if you drink it, it takes the fear away. Unfortunately, when Dr Jekyll tastes his experiment appears an alter ego from him named Mr Hyde that is the murderer from a person in a jazz club called Pink Flamingo, and he get’s as mad as the Hatter. Since this point, in this club stranger things begin to happen. Besides, starts a detailed police research because of the crime. In Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde’s book, there are four main characters. The protagonist is Dr Jekyll, that as I have explained, is a scientist that works with a formula, and he has an assistant named Jessica Jensen. Jessica Jensen is in love with Dr Jekyll, and she has an alter ego too named Anita Goodman because she becomes in a jazz singer after she get’s angry with Dr Jekyll. Also, the Dr Jekyll’s alter ego that is called Mr Hyde, is the guilty from the murder that the policeman is investigating. Finally, The policeman is the detective that is trying to find out who killed the person in the Pink Flamingo.

My favourite part of this amazing theatre play is when the actors begin to sing “I will survive” but in the hit of the song, instead of say I will survive they say Oh Mr Hyde. Equally, I would not change anything of the theatre play because I think it is not necessary. Besides, the vocabulary is so much understanding because the actors speak clearly.
